# Ask Circleback Assistant (/docs/support/assistant/ask-circleback-assistant)

Circleback Assistant can answer questions about anything discussed in your meetings. When you ask a question, it searches across every meeting you have access to, finds relevant information, and provides an answer with citations so you can verify the source. If you've [connected your email](/docs/support/account-and-setup/connect-your-email), it searches across your emails too, giving you one place to find information from all your conversations.

## Ask a question

Go to the **Ask** page and type in your question, for example:

- "What did Sarah say about the Q4 roadmap?"
- "What's the latest on the Initech deal?"
- "What were the action items from last week's standup?"
- "What timeline did we share with Initech in January?"

## Filter your search

Type **@** to mention people, companies, tags, or specific meetings. Use filters when you want to focus on a particular project, client, or type of meeting.

## Connect your tools

Connectors let Assistant search and take action in tools you already use. ## Ask about a specific meeting

When viewing a meeting, you can use Assistant in the panel on the right to ask questions about that specific meeting. This is useful when you want to quickly find something discussed in a particular call without searching across all your conversations.

## Ask how to use Circleback

Assistant can also answer questions about Circleback itself. If you're unsure how to do something in the product, just ask — for example, "How do I share a meeting?" or "How do I set up automations?"

## View sources

Every answer includes sources showing which conversations the information came from. Hover on a source to see specific references, select it for the full context.

## View past chats

You can view and search through past chats by selecting the history icon in the top-right of the **Ask** page. You can also find past chats by opening the search modal: select the search icon in the top-left or press **/** on your keyboard. Select a chat to return to it and continue the conversation.
