# Record meetings on Apple Watch (/docs/support/recording/mobile-app/record-meetings-on-apple-watch)

The Circleback app on Apple Watch lets you capture in-person meetings and conversations from your wrist, without your phone. It records audio only.

## Getting started

1. Download the Circleback app on your iPhone from [circleback.ai/mobile](https://circleback.ai/mobile) and log in to your account.
2. If Circleback isn't on your watch yet, open the Watch app on your iPhone, tap **My Watch**, and tap **Install** next to Circleback under **Available Apps**.
3. Open Circleback on your watch. You'll be logged in with the same account as your iPhone. If your watch asks you to log in, open Circleback on your iPhone.

## Record a meeting

1. Open Circleback on your watch.
2. Tap **Record**, or select a meeting under **Today**. Selecting a meeting links the recording to the calendar event so you get the right meeting title and participant names.
3. To pause, tap **Pause**. Then tap **Resume** to keep recording, or **Finish** to end the recording.

While recording, you can tap the meeting name at the top of the screen to switch to a different meeting, or to **New meeting** if the recording isn't for a meeting on your calendar.

When you finish, your watch uploads the recording and you'll get notes, action items, and a transcript in Circleback. Recordings that are still uploading appear under **Uploading**.

## Start recording from your watch face

Add the Circleback complication to your watch face to start recording with one tap.

1. Touch and hold the watch face, then tap **Edit**.
2. Swipe left to the complications, then tap the one you want to replace.
3. Select **Circleback**.
4. Press the Digital Crown to save, then tap the watch face.

Now, when you tap the complication, Circleback will open and start a recording for the current meeting on your calendar.

## Start recording with the Action button on Apple Watch Ultra

On Apple Watch Ultra with watchOS 26 or later, you can also start recording with the Action button.

1. Go to the Settings app on your watch.
2. Tap **Action Button**, tap **Action**, and select **Control**.
3. Tap **Control**, then select **Circleback** → **Record**.

Now, when you press the Action button, Circleback will open and start a recording for the current meeting on your calendar.
