We’re excited to announce that we’ve raised $2.5M in seed funding from Y Combinator, Rebel Fund, Pioneer Fund, and Transpose Platform, along with angel investors Kulveer Taggar, Oliver Jung, JJ Fliegelman, Rich Aberman, Jason Freedman, and others.

Kevin and I wrote the first lines of code for Circleback in January 2023 while still working as software engineers. The initial idea came from a simple observation: much of the useful information shared in meetings is lost or quickly forgotten.

The increasing capabilities of large language models created an opportunity to do more with the goldmine of data in conversations. In July 2023, we left our jobs to work on Circleback full-time. We initially focused on providing immediate value through high-quality meeting summaries and action items. Our customers tell us our notes are often better than what they would have written themselves. We were also selected as a top pick for AI note-taking by TIME.
